Swap the Atlantic coast for the Sahara on this three-day journey that starts at your door in Agadir and ends in Marrakech. You travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver-guide, spend one night in a hotel or riad and one night in a desert camp, and have breakfast and dinner included on both nights. Day 1: Leave Agadir at around 7 AM and head for Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed fortified village. Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Rose Valley and the Dades Valley to Tinghir, where dinner and your first night are waiting at a hotel or riad. Day 2: After breakfast, explore the Todra Valley and walk between the towering walls of Todra Gorge, then drive through Tinjdad, Melaab and Erfoud to Merzouga. Here you swap the vehicle for a camel and ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes to your camp. Try sandboarding, then enjoy dinner followed by Berber drumming and music under the stars. Day 3: Get up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes if the weather allows, then have breakfast before the long drive west through Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine and N'kob into the Draa Valley. Stop in Ouarzazate for lunch (at your own cost) and cross the High Atlas to reach Marrakech in the evening, with drop-off at your accommodation. Good to know: the price shown is for the Standard option, with a private tent and shared bathrooms at the camp. Luxury tents with an ensuite shower and toilet, and a Private Premium option, are available on request.
